Now liberated from being ‘framed’ as a lesser medium or genre, my first NFT collection ‘Unframed: Mongol Warriors’ is a tribute to the validation of digital art and my personal cultural heritage. New technology-based methodologies give people, not only artists, power to express themselves artistically in way they’ve never been able to before. Digital artworks like mine finally have a chance to be valued, to be appreciated, owned and loved like traditional fine art.

Tumen Altangadas is a Hollywood film 3D sculptor and modeller for Lucas Film’s Industrial Light & Magic (ILM).
Born and raised in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, Tumen’s personal work has explored 3D sculptural hyper-realism for the past 14 years. A central inspiration for Tumen’s work is Chingis Khaan (Genghis khan) and the Mongol empire he built in a single lifetime. With his art he aims to overcome misrepresentation of the historical figure as a ‘cruel war raging conqueror’ by re-characterising Chingis Khaan as an inspired leader, tactician and true genius.
Tumen completed a Bachelor Degree in Design in Animation at University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and currently lives and works in Australia.
